All year, Mella quietly organises me and the rest of the team, as far as is possible for anyone to organise Xpresso and me. It is she who tirelessly unravels my organisational chaos and somehow turns scribbled notes and indecipherable emails into blog entries and rehearsal schedules, and makes sure everything runs like a well oiled machine, and that the bits which go boink occasionally are sorted out efficiently. On top of this she manages to be a great actress, and has the makings of a good director which is very unfair: no-one should be that good.
One of the things she does is maintain the blog and put birthday wishes up. Of course, on her own birthday, she doesn't do this, which means I need to do it, and at this point the system falls down.
So now it's time for humble pie from yours truly, and massive birthday wishes for yesterday from me and the Xpresso team. If ever there was an example of how you keep this team running, this is it.
